Three Year Plan

The goal of this master plan is to elevate the North American Bison Discovery Center to be the pre-eminent destination for those seeking knowledge about bison restoration, either in a physical or virtual space. The Center seeks to elevate both its brand and its content.

How will the Center achieve this?

1. Site Development: Develop the museum’s current site (physically and virtually) to a higher standard of museum experience. Develop the revenue and staff, expanded exhibits and collections, and collaborative networks that better supports the Center’s goal of being the pre-eminent virtual and physical destination for those seeking knowledge about bison restoration. If determined to be needed after the master plan’s implementation, the Center will identify a new primary location.

2. Exhibit Design and Development: Engage experienced museum designers and content specialists to create immersive, engaging, and informative exhibits that appeal to a diverse audience. Incorporate cutting-edge technologies, multimedia presentations, and interactivedisplays to enhance visitor experiences.

3. Educational Programming: Collaborate with educators and subject matter experts to develop arange of educational programs, workshops, and field trips that align with school curricula andoffer hands-on learning experiences for students of all ages.

4. Marketing and Fundraising: Implement a comprehensive marketing and promotional strategy to raise awareness about the museum, raise funds, procure grant funding from government and private sources, attract visitors, and foster partnerships. Utilize digital platforms, social media, and targeted advertising campaigns to reach a wide audience.
