Guest Curator Program
Our Guest Curator program is designed to let anyone from any background develop an exhibit, traveling trunk, program, or other museum activity for use by and for the museum and will help us tell the story of the North American bison from different perspectives.
Guest Curators will work closely with our on-site Curator while developing their program, and will gain access to the museum’s archives, collection, library, and any other necessary materials.
Check out what our Guest Curators are doing!
Our first Guest Curator, Fayelynn Schiedeman, created a traveling trunk focusing on bison anatomy and how it allows bison to thrive in the wild.
If you are interested in becoming a Guest Curator, please
send us your proposal or reach out for more information.
Curation proposals should describe your interest in the North American bison, the unique perspective you would offer, the type of material you would like to develop (exhibit, traveling trunk, live program, webinar or virtual program, etc.), your specific topic, and if possible, the budget requirements to develop your program.
