Exhibits & Programs, Bison Herd, and Discovery Center Store

Experience the United States’ national mammal up close and personal when you visit the Discovery Center. The North American Bison Discovery Center tells the story of the North American bison through an introductory film, and interactive and rotating exhibits about the animal’s natural history, cultural significance, and ecological impact.

Children 8 and under will enjoy the Bison Calf Play Area with toys, books, and activities that explore the importance of bison as a keystone species.

While you’re here you can also view the herds from a distance or meet them up close during a guided pasture tour.
